Damian is an experienced Health and Social Care specialist and educator who obtained crucial hands-on practical experience in the field of care within Nursing, Residential, and Domiciliary care services. Having over sixteen years of hands-on practice and six years of managing provision has enabled Damian to ensure that health and social care is delivered using holistic formation and strength-based application.

 

Enhancing his opportunity to impact the sector positively, Damian has run and been successfully elected as Governor for Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust for the City of Lincoln.

 

Damian has a wide range of officially recognised qualifications such as a BA (Hons) Degree in Health and Social Care, an MA Degree in Health and Social Care Leadership, a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education Training and Skills and is now studying a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care.

 

Alongside managing his own community care services, Damian is also a qualified teacher with experience in teaching students various subjects linked to his specialism. In his teaching, Damian supports students in thinking critically and applying theoretical perspectives to real-life case studies. 

Being an Educator and upholding a registration with the Care Quality Commission as part of Damian’s role as a Managing Director means that he ensures compliance within his own business and service and teaches students best practice, compliance, how to follow codes of practice and legal framework within the sector.

Damian is an award-winning professional within the Health and Social Care, winning the Lincolnshire Care Awards 2019 for Community Care Leadership Award, winning the Great British Care Awards 2020 (Regional) under Registered Manager Award and is now a finalist for Registered Manager Award  (Great Britain) with his company currently holding three times finalist for the Great British Care Awards under Frontline Leader Award, Care Team Award and Home Care Worker Award.
