Counselling

Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year In England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week (Mind, 2013).

We offer a counselling and support service that is designed to support people with a variety of problems. This may be supporting someone who suffers with anxiety and/or depression or helping to support a person through a period of loss and grief.

Older people, especially those with depression, are as likely to benefit from having someone to talk to. Depression in later life, especially over the age of 65, is often dismissed as a normal part of ageing.  But this isn't always the case, and by having someone there can improve your enjoyment of life if you're feeling low (NHS, 2020).

Counselling may also help people with dementia and the people looking after them.

We use various approaches to help you depending on the situation and what you feel most comfortable with.
